Walking tour of Madrid’s history to discover some of the most emblematic places of the city: the Medieval Madrid, the city in the nineteenth century, the Madrid of Austria and Borbon dynasties. Lunch of tapas at a tavern. In the afternoon, guided tour through the Prado Museum or the Reina Sofia Museum, accompanied by an expert.
Excursion to Toledo, birthplace of El Greco, to discover the “City of Three Cultures”, where Christians, Muslims and Jews used to live together. Return to Madrid. In the afternoon, walk in the Retiro Park or shopping tour.
Departure to Córdoba, Caliphate city, offering a huge cultural and historical legacy with its beautiful Mosque-Cathedral, a World Heritage Site, and the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, the Jewish Quarter and the only synagogue in Andalucía. Transfer to Seville for dinner and accommodation
Sightseeing tour of the city starting at the Cathedral of Santa María, walking tour of the neighborhood of Santa Cruz, the ancient Jewish quarter. In the afternoon visit to the Alcázar, impressive Royal Palace, and the beautiful Maria Luisa Park . Free time to enjoy the city. In the evening, optional dinner and “tablao” flamenco show.
Day dedicated to horses, wine and the homeland of flamenco music at the city of Jerez. Optional guided tour to a herd of fighting bulls at large in the countryside, to enjoy the close view of these noble animals. At night, bus tour or carriage ride followed by a walk, to enjoy the stunning illuminations of the city.
The Alhambra, fascinating architectural jewel: Nazari palaces, Alcazaba, the Palace of Charles V, the Medina, the Generalife Palace and Gardens. Historic Centre (Cathedral, Capilla Real, Alcaicería) and walk downtown, to spot the traces of the medieval Islamic city and the influence of the conquest of the city by the Catholic Kings.
Tour of the Albaicín and its narrow streets, churches, monasteries, palaces and cármenes. End with the visit of the Cartuja Monastery, one of the jewels of Andalusian Baroque. Alternatively, visit to the neighborhood of Sacromonte, a unique place with dwellings enabled in caves.
